WORKED GREAT FOR ME. I NEEDED TO SEE WHAT ADDRESSES WE HAD THAT WERE FREE, AND WAS ABLE TO DO SO QUICKLY, WITHOUT HAVING TO GO TO EACH MACHINE.

It helped me alot, it was great.

I like that you can scan a specific range, and it scans fairly quickly. Click \'Skip\' upon first use. It doesn\'t pick up MAC addresses for some subnets and I don\'t know why. I have yet to intentionally generate an IP conflict to see how it reacts. I like the export capability, but it\'s only to .txt format and not .csv format. An options.ini file is automatically generated when closing ipscan.exe, regardless of any use or changes.

Very handy, was able to get some information quickly and easily.

Could not download the new version with the bugs fixed. Link was broken and would not work. Had to download the 2.8 without the fixes directly from the website and when I used the product it transferred all the favorites and settings, however, did NOT transfer the passwords. Which is one of the reasons I downloaded the backup utility. I wish it would have saved the passwords because I have several favorites saved that have passwords. Now I have to go in and redo all my passwords. Other than that the product worked as described.

The software does an excellent job. I cannot say anymore.

Worked well to restore all settings except for the autocomplete passwords, which was the real thing I wanted if for.

Looks good but... I used this to transfer IE settings from one laptop to another...both using Vista/IE7. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have worked at all!

so far so good I have backed up my settings now still have to restore the settings and hope it saved my passwords and will restore them.

Great tool did just what I needed it to.

I needed to find the IP address of a wifi router on the network. After running a scan with this great little tool, I was able to find the router in the list of addresses. Worked like a charm!

LAN scanner 1.0 did exactly what I wanted it to. It was simple and easy to use. Exporting the information to .html was really easy.

I consider this to be a decent program. I'm really happy that the program is slim on my harddrive.

Dave`s review. Had a little problem understanding the split page functionality but it makes since to do it this way. I also had a hard time understanding how to stop the right side scan and make changes, Eventulaly I got it under control. Can't complain when it's free.

Program Review Good program. Very thorough. Faster than others I've used as well.

Problems I am not sure if it is lockdown because this is a trial version or what. I can't even select multipul IP's, it only does the first IP, then stops. Then if I change the start IP address. It will not change, it still scans the orginal IP entered. I have to clear and re-type everything in. It would be a nice product if it did what is was designed to do. Does the full version work completely? I would want to try that before buying anything.Thanks,Duane Street

I would like to use this ti check our proxy for security. But it does not work in anyway for this. It would be nice if you add the ability to work with proxys.greetings

It freezed when I tried to scan 1-65535, with the correct IP address.

FreePortScanner functions as it is stated. It is a good tool. Recommend that user can enter FQDN instead of IP address alone. Additionally, have a pul down selection for ports to select.

Working ok, but would like to be able to assign names or location information on the application rather than needing to totally rely on the host name of the machine.

Download did not happen. So no chance to try this software.

It worked without fuss and identified most the nodes I knew to be active. There\'s one it says is active which I\'m having a job identifying. Overall quite useful and nice and quick.
